Metallica is an American heavy metal band that were formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1981. They have sold more than 90 million albums worldwide with albums such as 'Kill 'Em All', 'Master of Puppets' and 'And Justice for All'. They are also considered to be one of the biggest thrash metal bands along with Megadeath, Slayer and Anthrax. Metallica released their ninth album 'Death Magnetic' in 2008.
