This classic movie 'Planet of the Apes' was released in 1968 and starred Charlton Heston. The story is based on astronauts returning to Earth after being in deep hibernation on their spaceship 'Icarus'. They find that the planet is being run by apes, and humans are considered vermin. There followed four films and a remake of the original which was released in 2001.
