Felix the Cat is a cartoon character created during the silent movies era in the 1920's and was highly popular. The distinctive black and white cat has been on all sorts of merchandise over the years, from ceramics to toys and postcards. He has even had songs written about him with one called 'Felix Kept On Walking' being very popular in 1923. Felix still lives on and had a film released in 1988 called 'Felix the Cat: The Movie' and even had a video game for the NES released in 2000.
